Marc: Have you ever been to the UEFA competition, Eloi?
Eloi: No, what's that all about?
Marc: Oh, it's really exciting competition about football.
Eloi: That sounds fun. And when's it on?
Marc: It's on Tuesday and Wednesday, I think.
Eloi: But, it's about football?
Marc: Yes, is really exciting. Do you fancy going?
Eloi: Yes, OK. Why not?

- Football has existed since 1863, but it's origins are more than 1563 years old.
It started in England, but now there are clubs all over the world.
It is the most popular sport with a ball in the world.

- The biggest international football competition is the World Championship, which
started in 1928.
Football became an Olympic game in 1900.

- One of my favourite competitors is Raúl Tamudo.
Tamudo is the captain of RCD Espanyol.
He's the top scorer in the history of the club.
He's the finalist of the UEFA Cup in 2007.
